Hello, wonderful friends and followers!
My name is Martha Alex, and many of you might already know me from my vlogging journey, where I’ve been sharing slices of my life, travel stories, lifestyle tips, and real moments through video content. Vlogging has been an incredible adventure, allowing me to connect with people from all over the world, build a vibrant community, and express myself creatively through the lens.
Now, I’m super excited to take things a step further and welcome you to my brand-new blog! This space will be a cozy corner where I’ll post weekly updates, reflections, and behind-the-scenes looks into my daily routine. From early morning rituals and productivity hacks to what I eat in a day and how I unwind after a long shoot. I’ll be writing it all down for you in detail. Whether you’re a loyal subscriber from my vlogging days or someone new just discovering me, I hope you’ll find something inspiring and relatable here.
Day 1
I started the week with a burst of energy by potting 700 bare-root tree cuttings into recycled and repurposed containers, each soaking up the warm sunshine on my farm and promising a future of lush growth and renewed vitality throughout the landscape. Each one represents a quiet promise of growth, sustainability, and the ever-renewing joy of planting something with your own hands.
Day 2
A delightful surprise! Look who stopped by my podcast—Glen Powell! He stopped by my podcast. We had a sweet and spicy conversation full of laughs, insight, and unexpected moments; you can tune in on iHeartPodcast to hear all about our chat, from behind-the-scenes stories to the fun energy he brought to the studio.
Day 3
Walking through my farmland surrounded by thousands of trees, I reflected on how the biggest and oldest ones are original to the property. I wandered among the thousands of trees that form the living backbone of my farmland. In contrast, many others were lovingly chosen, planted, and nurtured over time, transforming this land into a truly personal and evolving sanctuary.
Day 4
Yes, Chef! We turned up the heat as our chefs faced real challenges in the kitchen—this week we filmed exciting new episodes of our show, where we fired up the heat and challenged chefs to push their creative boundaries in an intense and exhilarating test of skills, which premieres this April on NBC, so don’t miss the drama, the flavors, and the fierce talent we’ve brought together.
Day 5:
Time for a new portrait moment—DaisyBeautyToye had just finished my makeup, and when I glanced in my mirror at its flattering side light, I couldn’t help but say, “Wow,” because great makeup, paired with great lighting, really does make you feel like your best self.
Day 6
I spent the morning mulching the gardens, using homemade mulch and compost from my farm, enough to cover beds, alleys, borders, and tree pits, which not only prepares everything for the growing season but also gives the landscape that tidy, finished look I love so much.
Later that day, I had a lively and inspiring conversation with my friend Mickey Drexler on the podcast—he’s such a brilliant storyteller and merchant, and we talked all about his success, challenges, and the future of building meaningful brands in a world of fast fashion and instant everything.
Day 7
To wrap the week, I joined my friend Darch Miller’s daughter Daisy and the Harvard University Hasty Pudding Theatricals team, the oldest theatrical organization in the country, where Daisy co-produced a hilarious and powerful performance that was a true showcase of humor, talent, and youthful dedication.
